What is a rivet?
A rivet is a permanent mechanical fastener. The POP rivets (Blind Rivets), connect two pieces of material together; fast and efficiently. A hand riveter or pneumatic rivet gun are used to set rivets.
Domed and Countersunk Heads
Domed rivets have a “upward facing head”
|
|
Countersunk rivets have a “downward facing head”
|
The standard domed and countersunk head style's offer excellent bearing surface and is ideal for several different applications.
Perfect in applications where hole diameters are not exact, and you’re looking for a rivet that provides for a wide grip range.
Enhanced tensile and shear strength over corresponding open-end rivets. Sealed rivets provide 100% mandrel retention and have vibration resistant joints.
These rivets have a wider head than standard fasteners. They provide extra power to attach sheet metal/ large materials to a soft frame. Due to being wider a greater surface area is covered, reducing the number of rivets required.
Peel rivets breaks into four petals pulling the substrate layers tight together as the rivet peels and clamps (e.g. The corners of the rivet peel back like a banana)
An easy and simple method of joining metal to a wide range of solid materials including; wood, concrete and plastic. These materials can easily be fastened with a grooved rivet as they provide a high resistance joint.
Our coloured rivets are available in a variety of colours such as; red, green, blue, black, white etc. If you supply your RAL number, we can quote you on your specific requirements!
